Managing your Webline account

By logging into Webline (using your account's administrator username) you can configure many Webline options. This list identifies some of the functionality and information you can configure in Webline:

Set up agency codes

  • Enter the agency codes you have been supplied by each provider. Webline uses this information to help the providers identify you as a quote requester, and ensures the correct commission details are presented in your quotes. (Note: not all providers can support agency codes. Some verify postcodes (so ensure yours is correctly shown in your Webline details) and some will check your FSA reference number (FRN)).

Set up commission rules

  • Determine if you wish to sacrifice commission on quotes – set this up using the "commission" option, product by product. This can be set to cover all quotes, or on a quote-by-quote basis (so you can easily give a higher sacrifice on a big case, for instance).

Set up panel

  • You can set-up your panel of providers for each product type you wish to quote.

Set up your consumer facing / website

  • Specify compliance text to be displayed to consumers on the B2B2C quote form (see below).
  • Specify if you wish to show a campaign reference input box, a postcode input box or a telephone number input box on the B2B2C quote form. These can help you measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, and let you actively follow up enquiries from your website.
  • Configure Webline's auto email options for B2B2C quotes – these can be set to send you an email every time a consumer performs a quote request and/or a personal illustration request and/or a proposal download from your website.
  • Allow consumers the ability to start an application online using our generic application form.
  • Enter a business reply address (which can be different to your address registered with Webline) to ensure that consumers send their completed application forms to the correct address for processing.
  • A comprehensive user guide is available once you have registered with Webline – log on, click on the "info" button, then select "Webline Info", and then click on the "user guide" link.
