Webline, a Capita Enabler company, today announced that it now provides intermediaries with access to The Insurance Helpline, a new ‘special risks’ protection service run by Totally Insured Group (TIG).

The deal between Webline and The Insurance Helpline enables brokers to refer traditional high risk, potentially complex cases efficiently in the knowledge that TIG will find the best possible product, in the most effective manner, for their client.

Matt Humphrey, Client Services and Operations Director of Webline said: “Recent ABI stats have shown that over 30 per cent of all life applications in the UK have either been ‘rated’ or declined – potentially amounting to over one million people, with this number set to grow in the future. The link between Totally Insured Group and Webline essentially makes life a lot easier for advisers in terms of being able to tap into this expanding market of opportunity.

There’s a large community of intermediaries who will be able to benefit from this type of service. Traditionally, applying for a product of this complexity has been tiresome in terms of paperwork and the time taken to process an application. Access to The Insurance Helpline via Webline has now given a clear direction for advisers to help aid the laborious task.”

Andrew Norman, Sales and Marketing Director at Totally Insured Group Ltd said: “Totally Insured Group is excited to be offering this new advisor solution in conjunction with Webline. From an adviser’s point of view the service will make the process of trying to place these special cases much simpler.

A simple referral form listing the basic client information is all that is required for advisers to start using the service Totally Insured Group will then handle each case on the adviser’s behalf, using their broad knowledge and historic experience within this arena to search and apply to the most appropriate provider for each specific case with a pre-existing medical condition, or special risk. By being part of this new service, Totally Insured Group can help advisers to treat their customers fairly by providing essential cover in circumstances where it was initially thought not to be available.”

Totally Insured Group Ltd is currently working with In-Partnership, a network of nearly 500 IFAs. They are also on a number of leading medical-related charities’ websites, such as British Heart foundation, and breast cancer care.
